Tucked away in the centre of the medieval Old Town, our hostel is just a stroll away from countless incredible attractions like Edinburgh Castle, the Scottish National Galleries and the Royal Mile. You can walk pretty much everywhere from here so it's the perfect central location for backpackers. There is a continental breakfast available every morning for just £5 a day which can be purchased at reception.on arrival.
Party in the hostel's new and improved Belushi's Bar, make the most of hostel events such as Bar Crawls and Free Walking Tours and then have a good night's sleep after a busy day. We are across the road from Waverley train station and only a 2 minute walk away from some of Edinburgh's best traditional pubs and bars in the medieval Old Town.

It was my first time staying in a hostel, as I usually prefer having the privacy of my own room/bathroom.
The 6-bed dorm had its own bathroom and the beds had curtains, which really helped make my stay as comfortable as it was. Everything was cleaned daily and the silicone in the shower was redone on my second day, so there's a constant upkeep happening. The staff was super friendly and always up for a chat and the restaurant across the street (where you get a discount) had good food.

I phoned up prior to booking to ask if there was any space to store bikes, and the person I spoke to on the phone said yes. They said we could store bikes as there was a store room. After this confirmation we made a reservation. We have been currently doing a charity bike ride from John o’Groats to lands end and camping each night. Yesterday, we cycled 80 miles and was soaking wet through the day because of the rain. This is why we made a reservation so we could keep dry for the night. We arrive

The location was fantastic and the rooms and bathrooms were clean enough. I was pretty frustrated with the size of my 6 bed mixed dorm as there was absolutely zero space to put my suitcase, it was about 35 degrees in the room and the only thing keeping it semi cool was a tiny little fan. This room should be a 4 bed dorm so it allows people to hang out in their room as there is also hardly any space in the common area and the atmosphere isn’t very good. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.
