Property Description
“Eastern Comfort Berlin Boat†has a total of 25 cabins in 1st ( large cabins for 2 persons ) and 2nd class categories ( for 1,2,3 or 4 persons), all of which have en-suite bathroom & shower. Except our 5bed dorm with shared shower and toilettes. “Western Comfort Berlin Boat†– located directly beside Eastern – has 18 private 2 & 3-bed cabins, and shared bathroom/shower facilities.
All cabins have two large windows, however Eastern Comfort 2nd class have two portholes in each cabin. Half of our cabins have a river view while the others face the colourful Berlin Wall; waterside cabins are on a first booked basis, and we also do our best to provide a river view for longer stays. Feel free to follow-up with us, but we cannot guarantee the river side.
Services and facilities like breakfast, reception and our lounge are on Eastern Comfort and are of course available to all of our guests.
What’s available on board!
• A unique location between the trendy Freidrichshain & Kreuzberg districts; Clubs, Bars and Restaurants only minutes away
• A friendly, multi-lingual and knowledgeable crew
• Free boat tours during the summer with the Capt’n are offered on some weekends – weather-permitting; ask the crew at check-in
•The Floating Lounge on the upper deck of Eastern Comfort; a great spot to meet people, have a drink, or snack
•Currently there is no Buffet Breakfast available on board
•Bike rental for €12/day
• Coke machine
• Free maps, Berlin infos, and a selection of Berlin magazine/publications
• Free wifi/hot-spot on both boats
• Sheets&Towels for Dormrooms and Western (€5 one-time cost/person) if you forget your sleeping bag
•Smoking areas on all decks (indoors 100% smoke-free)
• Door code allows for 24hr entry for guests
Reception currently open from 12 pm - 18:00pm
• Check-in as of 16:00 p.m. Baggage can be dropped off at reception no earlier than midday
• Check-out 11 a.m. Eastern
• Payment: Cash / Visa / M/C /Bank Transfer / PayPal

Have to say I was a little disappointed with my stay here. The location was great and was the best thing in my option. The atmosphere was very disappointing in my opinion. There weren’t many younger people out and about and mainly was just older couples on vacation. Nothing wrong with that just not what I was looking for in a hostel. It was also hard to sleep with a window that could not be closed and loud speakers right outside until 4am.

Great location, cool concept. Most the people were older German folks. But met some awesome people in the dorm (you may not be as lucky) lol
I put that staff rating as a one because I’m convinced the younger guy stole my jacket. I asked him about it and he got super awkward about it. Asking me strange questions like what kind of material it was. He was the only person in the room all morning. But it’s whatever it wasn’t real Versace 🤣

Unique place, loved it! Stayed in a private room w/ friends. Be aware it is close quarters and got a little humid being right on the water. The floating lounge was great, full of people and has stand up comedy during the week. It's in an excellent location close to food, entertainment, and transit. Staff was very helpful. If you're dropping bags off early, they store them out in the lobby area. If you want something more secure, I'd suggest using lockers at the main station.
