INTERNATIONAL BUDGET HOSTEL CITY CENTER is beautifully situated in the heart of the city centre in the Leidseplein (Leidse Square) area. Leidseplein is the most famous nightlife area in Amsterdam. The location of the hostel is on a quiet, beautiful canal - the Leidsegracht.
Rooms are shared & private mixed from a triple and quads to 6/7-persons rooms. Each hallway has showers and WCs. Some rooms has private shower
Our hostel, set in a former 17th-century warehouse, has a cozy lounge facing the canal where one can relax and socialize and meet other fellow travellers. The lounge has vending machines, a television. Free Wi-Fi is available in the entire hostel.
We are placed in a old monumental building with no elevators, just steep stairs.
The hostel is a few minutes from the famous Van Gogh Museum, beautiful Dam Square, the entertaining Red light district, relaxing Vondelpark, historical Anne Frank House and the best clubs, coffee shops, bars and restaurants and many more great places.
The staff can provide you with great ideas to spend your time in Amsterdam. If you're interested in renting a bike we're happy to organise this for you.
We have a smoking room, where you can chill out and socialize. The rest of the hostel remains smoke free. Please take note, that as of the 1st of April 2020 Governmental law prohibits smoking tobacco. However, It is still possible to smoke marijuana with our complementary tobacco replacement.
There is video security in all public areas.

Our smoking room will remain open 24 hours.
If you will be arriving after closing hours, please send us an email to notify us of your expected arrival time. We can then send you instructions and code to enter the building and access your room.
In the eventuality that you will be arriving late and checking-out early the next day please inform us by email 1 day or 2 prior to your arrival date so we can make payment arrangements for any open balance including city tax 7% and tourism fee of 3 EUR per person per night as well as notify you by email of the entrance code and instructions to access your room.

Great hostel for a short stay. The rooms were cute and the bedding was nice. The best part of this hostel is the location and it’s relatively affordable compared to other Amsterdam properties (but I will say that there are a lot of unexpected fees like the city taxes or the 3% extra charge if you pay with your credit card). I like how the rooms have their own shower but the communal bathrooms with toilets were pretty small and cramped. This hostel also isn’t super social and not the best place to meet peopl

When it says budget it means budget, don’t expect anything above a basic room. There’s not much if any of a social scene and the beds don’t all have an outlet near them. However, it is a great value for a rather expensive city and it’s in an outstanding neighborhood right near the museums and some really good food but not in a super touristy area.

The bathrooms were quite small and so were the showers. Also, there was only 1 shower for three sets of dorms, so we always had to wait to shower. Other than that the hostel was fine.

International Budget Hostel says
We're in a traditional canal building just around the corner from Leidseplein, which is one of the main nightlife and entertainment areas in Amsterdam. On a 10-minute walk you can find some of the main museums, such as Anne Frank House, the Van Gogh museum and the Rijksmuseum. In a 15-minute walk you're in the heart of the Red Light District. On a warm day, I think the Vondelpark is a wonderful place to hang out, and if you're looking for quirky souvenirs the Flower Market is a great place to go.
We offer guests the opportunity to book several tours, like free city tours, bike tours and pub crawls. We also rent out bikes to guests.
We pay a lot of attention to detail here here and hygiene is a priority. Because it's a hostel there's not much luxury, but you can definitely expect to have a clean bed and shower.
